You are repurposing and shouldn’t feel bad. There are thousands of items out there made commercially by companies that are no longer used or wanted. You give it new purpose and life.
Cool ring, @Stracci, and it looks like it would have been really hard to bend. I’ve got one that wraps around twice that I bought at a country grocery store in BC that literally had goats on its roof ![]()
Ok dear lady, after that story, you MUST show us!
I’m not home at the moment, but when I get a chance later I’ll link a pic
they were for real Billy goats.
Fellow nm jeweler here. Indian jewelers supply was my favorite. Always such friendly and helpful people. I was so sad when it closed. Anyway, your jewelryis gorgeous! ![]()
Thanks @TyBo83 !
We would love to see some of your creations!
I’m still just an amateur due to not having the right tools and enough time but I can show you some things. I just recently started working with turquoise.
I made all the ones that are not gold and diamonds. I did make the silver crown with gold and there should be another silver with s little bit of gold but I can’t see the Pic and I can’t remember which one it was. Anyway, thank you for taking an interest! Oh and the flower ring spins. It’s great for a fidgeter like me! ![]()
Very nice pieces. Another jeweler joins in. We look forward to seeing more of your work.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the being called a jeweler part. I don’t have alot of confidence sometimes and wonder if maybe I’m just posing as a jeweler. Lol. Sorry to go on a tangent. But I do appreciate it very much! ![]()
Your work is great! I love to see what other people are working on.
Hang around here and you will be inspired every day!
Thank you so very much! I really do appreciate everybody’s help and kindness on this site. I truly thank you all!![]()

I don’t care what anyone says, that’s just a great idea. Too cool!

And your workmanship, Stracci, is outstanding, as usual.
Thanks for the kind words, TAH!
With the price of silver as it is, I just couldn’t throw those tines into the scrap pile. I just did the obvious design with it.
I’ll gladly echo Tom here, @Stracci, what a great idea and flawless execution!! ![]()

Thanks @Ravenscry !
I had fun making it!
Another creative winner. ![]()
Thank you Steve! It took me a few days to decide what to do. Am I the only one who lays awake thinking of jewelry designs? ![]()
I was gonna cut it all up, but in the end “straight-on fork” was the only option that made sense.
