You know if you get rid of those stupid nuggets that necklace has almost a Patania look. I don’t think it is their work because theirs normally has precise calculated cabochons, but without the nuggets, it would definitely look a lot better!

I thought of your recent Patania discovery when I saw this piece.
But when it came out of the case and I held it in my hands, there was no real quality here.
No marks, weird shiny surface in the back, and
seams on the beads.
But it could be a nice look, I agree.

@StevesTrail Sheesh, that’s a lot of moolah for that necklace. Does the listing state Navajo, Zuni, Hopi made? Ya know, covering all their bases😆. My thought is that it’s an import but, it can be tricky to determine authenticity on these, imo.

Handcrafted Native American Zuni necklace. The animals are all hand carved from natural semi-precious stones. The tiny beast lining the string are shell. The metal is sterling silver. It measures approximately 28" with a 3.5" extension. There is one section of the string that is missing the shell beads, but it is only about a quarter of an inch section. There is also 1 stone bird that is chipped. This is a phenomenal piece of Native American artwork. Asking $1300.
