Those 2 issues are two of the three that make up the “Blue Book”

Nice! I just picked the first two that had Turquoise on them. You wouldn’t know off the top of your head which is the third would you?

Thanks for the database link, @AC. I own the first three magazines (shown) plus the Blue Book. Great for reference and for admiring. The third book (Aug '74) has a good article on C.G. Wallace. Another informative jewelry edition is August 1954.

I have them in hand, along with many others, Thanks though.

Typically, the August issue in many years had articles on the Navajo fair. I like to look at those articles too, showing the people wearing their art form. What is also interesting is the number of times photographs have been republished

Interesting and disappointing. There are many of the same photos in those three magazines that make up the Blue Book and then the Blue Book has the same photos too.

Yes, the Blue Book was made up of those 3 issues.

None of the links work for me. Are they still working or is it just me? Thanks!

@Arizonagirl, See if this will work, they’ve restructured their website but it’s still there.

I spent so many years in my grandparents living room reading these magazines - They were snowbirds and traveled to the Southwest for a couple of months each winter, we always wanted them to bring us along (they didn’t ).

Even though I’m a Hoosier, I’ve been getting AZ Highways for about 3 decades, love the photos and the writing. But I should order some of those old turquoise issues.

If you like magazines, I highly recommend getting a subscription!
