I said on here recently that sometimes it seems like a small world. After you saying you live near where we stayed, it really does feel like a small world! I took our photos on that trip with our camera that was not digital, so I just went back and looked through them, because I remember driving and walking around the neighborhood near the hotel. In my notes I said that it was beautiful, with wonderfully landscaped cute houses lining the shore. I’m putting a few pictures on here for you, @chamekke. The first was taken on a drive near the hotel, and the next two were in the harbor area on Canada Day (as is obvious ). I had written in my notes about the second photo that “the girls were dressed in what seemed to be the Canada Day uniform.”
The fourth photo is actually from a whale watching trip we took from Tofino. We followed this pod of orcas for quite some time; it was amazing for a Midwesterner like me. I was honestly blown away by Vancouver Island, and I really want to come back. If I do I will have to email you for more tips!
And on the small world thread, our Pastor (originally from Indiana) came to us straight from pastoring a Church in Vancouver for 9 years. Also, you might enjoy this old thread on here…
Belt Buckle 1907 - Native American?
I apologize y’all; this is what happens when it’s a little slow on here, and I converse with someone from Canada And we did buy quite a bit of native art while we were on this trip so kind of applies?
