New NA jewelry additions

@nanc9354 Bunny Rabbit cuff ~ that made me LOL! Guessing someone else knew it wasn’t rabbits, too. Sorry you missed out on it.

I was just getting ready to respond the same thing @Patina! It’s some hope of kachina (the ears are feathers!) but I don’t know which one. But if it was your cuff, it can be a bunny😄

Those are my favorite listings on SG - although other people are getting savvy to the badly identified nowadays, so I get bumped more now.

Do you remember how much that cuff sold for on SG? It’s a nice Robert Becenti cuff! Someone got a great deal if it went for what looks like $182

$182 is a good price. Add shipping, tax and handling. I see others on eBay selling for $200 or more. It’s a very nice cuff by a great artist, but I had a limit of what I wanted to pay. I found a great turquoise ring by William Vandever on a pawn shop site. It has his identifiable wrap around the bezel. I will show the picture when it arrives.

I received the ring today and it FITS!!! It has a nice wide shank so it won’t twirl around my finger…probably meant for a man. It’s a beaut! Royston would be my first guess. Any other opinions?

@nanc9354 Fabulous turquoise, and a great design. My guess is Royston, too. I can relate to your joy about it fitting, lol. This ring girl luvs your new ring. Enjoy!

That is a showstopper! Love how big it is, too, and I prefer the wide bands. It seems like when they’re thin, if I wear them on my right hand they flatten easily.

I’m sorry I can’t remember if you said it was hallmarked. Do you know who the artist is?

Thanks @Patina and Zia. I like wide shanks because my knuckles are so big. if I have a thin shank, it twirls around and bothers me…but the size of stone would also prevent it from twirling. The ring is hallmarked by William Vandever. I love the stone and the silver work.

What a beauty! The colors and some of the matrix spots make me think of Blue Gem as well

New Mexico was Enchantment indeed. Easily half my photos are of phenomenal restaurant meals, I’ll spare you. Except maybe the green chili cheeseburger at the Mineshaft Tavern in Madrid.

Georgia O’Keeffe home and studio tour, George R. R. Martin in person hosting a writers’ chat with Josh Gad–pretty good!

And the baubles. A discovery of an artist new to me, courtesy Mark Bahti: Robert Sorrell, a master smith.

Perry Shorty bracelet with turquoise
Norbert Peshlakai silver and 14K narrow bracelet (men’s size), with his amazing handmade stamps
Robert Sorrell buckle with coral, cuttlefish and tufa cast
Deanna Tenorio (Pomo/Kewa) necklace of varied stones
Etkie (a Navajo coop project) little beaded cuff, I just liked it and the saleswoman was adorable.

@chicfarmer Are these all beauties that went home with you? Wow. Exceptional silver work & designs on the cuffs and buckle. I like the colors in the necklace and especially its length. One can never have too many thunderbirds. During our first trip to NM, we ate at the Mineshaft Tavern in Madrid. Madrid is such a fun & funky little place. Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Thank you, :slightly_smiling_face: and yes these are the purchases. Agree about the Tenorio necklace; I’m very happy to add a multicolor strand. It was a great trip altogether, with new experiences and sights. Except for the grand finale of making DFW my home for hours and hours. Lol

Great looking pieces there, chic! I’m diggin’ that belt buckle…and the cheeseburger. :slightly_smiling_face:

Definitely some super pieces. Good thing it’s not a competition. I would loose for sure.

Ooh, I got the green chili burger at the Mineshaft Tavern, too, and it was delicious! That’s the exciting thing I have in common with your post. The less exciting thing is that I spent about 12 hours stuck at DFW on the way home from New Mexico once.

Excellent jewelry choices as always @chicfarmer! I love your new additions. That Perry Shorty especially
Did the Robert Sorrell piece come through?

Thank you, folks.
@OrbitOrange the Robert Sorrell piece is the belt buckle (cast silver with a set coral). There’s only one coral; the photo almost indicates a small one at top left, but that’s a photo artifact, really just a bit of silver. And I feel your pain about DFW, having grown older there.

I probably have several of you guys, @Patina and OO for sure, to thank for steering me to Madrid! @TAH, nothing like an impressive burger to make a trip.

Absolutely gorgeous! All of it! That buckle is amazing; I had never heard of cuttlefish except as in marine mollusks, so I had to look it up. Incredible. Thank you so much for sharing.

Glad you had a great trip! We’ve been through Madrid a number of times, but haven’t eaten there. We were planning on grilling burgers tomorrow, and now thanks to your post I will also have to pull out the green chili

So sorry you had such a layover at DFW. Last time we flew out of NM we didn’t even make it that far, because they had a weather shut down. We couldn’t fly out for two extra days, which wouldn’t be bad except for the extra hotel costs.
