I agree it would look good on pretty much anything. I also think it would look nice on a silver link chain or even some all black heishi…
Very cool naja. Is it possibly tufa cast?

Thanks @Ziacat I’m not sure if it’s tufa or sand cast. I may look into a link chain or black heishi. Oh boy, more shopping.
And I think it would look gorgeous on any strand of heishi you have, turquoise, mixed, whatever. I’ve been wearing my one and only naja on beads or my thicker turquoise and spiney heishi necklace (it won’t work on this black one, because of a largish turquoise bead set off-center). I have a pendant that permanently stays on the chain.
I like the idea of your naja simply hung on something by the shepherd’s hook, but if the new bail is pretty large you could even put it on a heishi necklace that has several strands. So many ways to wear it
The bail will fit the 10mm Navajo pearls I have. They will be one option.
Really not trying to put more dents in your pocketbook, but I definitley agree with @Ziacat, heishi would be a killer option.
I saw one at a shop today that may work. Now to remember which place had it.
I keep coming back to your wonderful swirl White Hogan naja byJohn Begay and your comment about Debbie Silversmith. Looking at Silverman’s production I found this interesting split shank cuff (photo from Garlands).
I have one of the classic split shank with rosette White Hogan cuffs (by Alan Kee). It’s interesting that Silversmith makes this classic split shank form, but also is paying tribute to the White Hogan modernist designs by incorporating the swirl design in this cuff. And it’s an interesting take on the split shank; gently merging into the swirl…I like it!
(Oops, off topic …again )
Your naja is lovely! I agree with the others who have suggested hanging on heishi: the line of your naja is rather organic and it would be stunning on something with a similar softness.
As a side note, yours reminds me quite a lot of mine—I did a bit of a double-take, actually!
Thank you @riobravo I did a double take as well. Yours looks amazing on Navajo pearls. Traditional never goes out of style.
They had another coin silver naja. I thought about buying it too but decided to leave it for someone else to discover.
@Ziacat I didn’t locate a jet heishi. Here is what I did find.
It is from an estate near Cortez. There is so much NA jewelry that is being sold by three local shops. They are not selling online
That is beautiful!! I love the colors together. I think one of the things I’m going to look for at the Eiteljorg market next month is another Kewa heishi necklace (unless of course I get distracted by something else which always seems to happen). Your new naja would also look fabulous on those wonderful beads. Did you get those in Cortez also?
My mom bought a lovely pin in a Cortez shop back in the '90s, and we were in there in '21, but I had spent all my budget so I didn’t even try to stop and be tempted. Hopefully I can get back again and check them out!
Thank you @Ziacat. The Navajo beads are Artie Yellowhorse. I purchase them in 2022 in Cody WY. They are my do to wear alone or with pendants or najas.
