I love everything about this family photo from your uncle’s travels. I often wish for the simple times we had back in the 60s - 70s. Thank you for sharing his photo.
The dark horse on the right reminds me of a Breyer model horse. The mold itself is called Indian Pony.

@Patina Thank you for sharing your uncle’s photograph. Was he a professional photographer? The composition is perfect.

This is an awesome photograph, @Patina, thank you for sharing it. It’s easy to imagine that he captured some other incredibly beautiful shots in his travels. :+1:

Thank you and you’re welcome. I’m not that familiar with horses though I can see the similarity to that Breyer horse. I only wish that I’d been given the opportunity to look through all his photo albums. My older sister brought home a handful of his photos and, I chose this one.

You’re very welcome. No, my Uncle wasn’t a professional photographer.

Thank you and you’re welcome. I can only imagine there were lots more photos from his Southwest travels in those albums. It’s sad the photos were all tossed but, unfortunately, not an uncommon occurrence when an elderly family member passes.

This has happened in my family too. Some family members appreciate history others live in their moment.

This may be, but it also makes the one you do have a real treasure. :slightly_smiling_face:

As my great aunt Jean would say: “a lady does not wear all her jewels at the same time”. A true Victorian who lived in the 20th century.

i think it was the advice in the 80s to “get completely dressed, accessorized, and ready to go, then take off one piece of jewelry.”

But since it’s an advertisement, the more the better

Gorgeous stuff, but to me that coral cluster ring could use a little patina…

@Jemez2, I literally had that thought the other day getting dressed  and yes I took one piece off. Guess I’m living up to be a true '80s girl.

Wow! Is it possible to even walk while wearing all that? :flushed: But she does need some more cuffs and rings IMO

This is a famous aphorism of Coco Chanel (1883-1971). Clearly, she was not familiar with Southwest style!

I just got them yesterday. I don’t know why they took so long to get here. @Ravenscry Here is the picture.

Definitely very heavy. @Zia would be unable to wear them.

Those are gorgeous! And you are correct. I could probably wear them for about a half hour  Maybe
