Blueberry, I like it  A beautiful ring, and I agree with Aaron, I’m really liking the bezel. The texture of the band is so unique. I’m curious, how did you come up with that clever idea?

Thanks @StevesTrail!
I always have fun in my little jewelry studio.

Thanks @Patina!
Silver is at an all-time high. So if I’m gonna use good silver, I should use a good stone, right?

Thank you @Ziacat
A while ago, when hammering a ring shank, I noticed that the back of the silver took on the texture of the anvil surface.
So I went looking for a bumpy surface to pound on. The patio concrete was interesting, and it worked out ok!

I second everything @here4turquoise said. Every time I think you’ve made your best ring, Stracci, you top it! Your suntan really makes the stone pop. :+1:

Thanks @nanc9354
It’s hard to decide on a favorite turquoise, since even within the mine, individual stones can look so different.
It’s like choosing flavors in a candy store!

@here4turquoise @BlytheEcho
Thanks! I really never know if a piece will turn out successfully. I’m happy with the way this one turned out, in spite of a few bumps along the way.

@TAH Thank you! And that tan is a side effect of driving in the NM sun! Left arm only!

@Stracci, this ring is just breathtaking. That distinctive periwinkle-blue of the Golden Hills turquoise is really magical, and your textured shank and tasteful setting show it off to perfection!

Thanks @chamekke !
I agree, the periwinkle color is so attractive.
In the big 64 count box of Crayons, “Periwinkle” was always my favorite!

My favorite nail polish is a great periwinkle color by Essie called “Bikini so tiny.” However that is a silly name, so maybe I should rename the color “Golden Hills turquoise”

Sorry so blurry, I was wearing it in the photo I posted in another thread, so I enlarged it. And I have it on my toes right now!

I have always loved this color because in the summer the roadside wildflowers that come out are periwinkle, and I was always in search of a nail polish that looked similar.

@Stracci You’re latest pieces are amazing, maybe some of my favorites that you have made! The textures and things you’re experimenting with lately are really neat. If you ever want to sell some of these, keep me in mind!

I have to agree with everyone that Golden Hills is pretty amazing, and it is fast becoming a favorite… I need to add that to my list on what kind of turquoise we’re attracted to! The sky blue and periwinkle colors are amazing, and I need to get more than the one little tiny piece that I have. That stuff you picked out is a standout.

I have that same bottle of nail polish, Bikini so Teeny! That’s always the one that I want to put on first when it starts to turn warm, and it stays a favorite on my toes through the summer!
