Turquoise jewelry I recently made

Thanks very much for your kind words! I really enjoy making jewelry.
I’m just a hobbyist, trying to have fun!

At the local gem and mineral show, my husband picked out this dinosaur bone cabochon, with a ring in mind. So I recently obliged.
Shown here on my hand.

And below, on my husband’s hand (next to a fire agate ring I also made)

They are all beautiful pieces. I have recently become very interested in fire agate and that stone is gorgeous. I love the first ring too. The stone is very pretty :grinning:

Thank you @CyanideRose18
We picked out the fire agate from a vendor that had a whole table of them, it was so hard to choose just one!

This one was an experiment.
I have this turquoise watch cuff that I was never going to wear. It was a gift that I’ve had for over 15 years. I was tired of seeing it in my jewelry box, lonely and unloved.
I’ve wanted to change it for a long time, and today was the day. I just made a turquoise insert to replace the watch. It turned out pretty good!
I took the first photo after I started to remove the watch.

I see a “well worn” future now with this cuff. Experiment/Success

I will absolutely wear it with regularity… starting tomorrow!

That’s too cool! I love it! What kind of turquoise is it?

I’m glad you like it! Every time I looked at that watch, I was sad. I wanted to love it… But I didn’t, you know what I mean?
It’s much improved now, I think.

I don’t know the origins of any of the stones.
I could guess and say the band stones may be Sleeping Beauty. The replacement stone could be Morenci. It’s just a stone I had in my stash.
But I really don’t know.

Great job! I like the setting shape and nicely matched stone and bezel.

Thanks! I almost cut it up for parts. Now I’m glad I didn’t!
I had fun giving it new life.

Whatever the case, it’s a pretty stone. I’m just always curious.

It can be fun to repurpose. I had a small belt buckle made into a pendant, and now I’m thinking about someday having one of my mom’s stirrup leathers made into a belt.

Great job!

Beautiful job  That stone looks like it was meant to be there.

I bought this stone last year and finally got around to making a pendant with it.

Thanks @AC !
I’m definitely going to get more of this material from the next gem show later this month.
(PS…I love your Venetian chevron trade beads in the
“my favorite ring” thread)
