Enjoying my earrings more - show me yours!

Thank you! I think they are 50’s or 60’s. I had them converted to posts from screw backs. I’d love to see your Alice Quam cuff. I love her work; in addition to these earrings I have a coral pin/pendant and a coral necklace and earring set by her daughter, Lorraine Waatsa. I’d love to get something by Doris and Warren Ondelacy and have three generations.

I’ll bet y’all didn’t expect me to show up with my earrings. LOL

Nice collection, @AC!

I’ve got my first pair picked out, but @OrbitOrange won’t have anything to do with it.

I was eyeballing her Long Horn Kachina pair! :eyes:
Mine for the most part all came in matching sets or in lots with other stuff.

Oh my, beautiful stuff! And I like the thunderbird ring too.

Actually I’m not surprised, @AC. I’m also not surprised you went for the Longhorn Kachina pair, you like your mid century Zuni inlay (as do I)!

Nice collection btw; I’ll take those Quandelaceys!

They’re all beautiful, but I am especially drawn to the quails.

I was looking back through this post (off work for a bit so have some extra time), and noticed the flower earrings in your collection. I think the same artist was just at the Eiteljorg Indian Art Market. I was considering buying one of the cuffs that had three flowers like that (which had Persian turquoise); they also had the earrings. And then I ended up meeting Reggie Mitchell, and bought the cuff from him instead. I love those earrings!

Here are the backs of those earrings, Robert Johnson, Navajo. They are so well made, his work is very thoughtful & meticulous. I bought them from him in Santa Fe at the Christmas Market a few years back. He had so many nice pieces it was really hard to choose.

Yes, that’s who it was. I almost bought the cuff immediately, but hadn’t looked at much, so ended up waiting; maybe next year! A couple years ago I nearly bought a pair of the earrings, so I guess I’m gonna have to one of these times.

So glad you revisited this thread. I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful earrings!!

Here is my SW collection.

Top Left…no signature. Dan Jackson Sugalite. Nakai turquoise and lapis.

Middle…Calvin Begay Opal and onyx. My favorite Angeline Miller Paua Shell & Erica Hult de Corral.

Bottom…Don Lucas carnelian Teddy Goodluck SHADOWBOX Phyllis Ortega purple spiny oyster.

They’re all lovely, but I especially like the middle right ones, and the purple spiny oyster pair bottom right.

I love seeing everyone’s earrings!
Here is my collection.
The large diamond shaped pair were made by my friend Rodney Coriz.
The oval turquoise studs in the middle were made by me.
I have no idea about the rest.
All the studs on white cards were in my mother-in-law’s collection.

All lovely! The Coriz earrings are beautiful. But I think I like your little hummingbirds best; I love hummingbirds. I can’t wear heavy earrings too much, because my right lobe is a little bit stretched out. My left ear is double pierced, so I end up wearing a lot of small/tiny earrings, and I mostly wear three different ones. People are forever asking me if I lost an earring, and I’m like, don’t you remember that was an 80’s thing to just double pierce one ear? So I could mix your hummingbirds and your little blue flowers right in with mine

@Ziacat Mother-in-law loved hummingbirds. There’s even one on her headstone at the cemetery!

She had a real big stash of jewelry, from Native American to diamonds. However, almost all of her pieces are lower quality…she bought diamond rings from the JC Penney jewelry department. Ack!

Here are a few of my favorite earrings. Many are signed, but not all. They’re a mixture of Native American and Southwestern style. (I’m enjoying looking through the categories and reading old threads & seeing everyone’s beautiful turquoise jewelry!)

So many great pairs. Good taste in turquoise. Love those dragonflies!

Thanks! The dragonflies are fun to wear, and surprisingly lightweight.

I have only 2 sets of earrings so far… one pair by Rudy & Mary Coriz (Kewa/Santo Domingo) and another by an unknown silversmith that might or might be NA – possibly just “southwestern style”.

In my defence, I live in Canada and these were bought at a local consignment store!

The pair by the Corizes (although this photo is a bit desaturated for some reason!):
